A night in with the cat

Tonight I am spending a nice quiet night in at my Mom's house, just hanging out with my cat and - very shortly - having a visit with Lauren. It has been awhile since I've had a nice visit with Lauren, and I am very much looking forward to seeing her this evening. As for my cat, she and my Mom had a bit of an "incident" earlier this week - my cat got between my Mom's feet and my Mom fell down the stairs ... so my cat's in need of a little extra love since she's plauged with guilt no doubt. So here I sit ... having been "claimed" by my cat (aka she's laying across my lap looking at my longingly), feeling a little trapped, but mostly relaxed.
