So apparently winter is finally hitting us here in Ontario. To my shock and surprise, this time they weren't lying when they called for 5 to 10 cm of snow over the course of the day ... and I discovered that Birkenstocks do not quiet cut it as "snow appropriate footwear" - who knew?
Looking out my window, I can barely see the building across the parking lot and little park across the street. The air is just a sea of white, which is amazing and beautiful, and I really am truly happy to see the snow. I have been waiting and wishing and hoping for it ... I believe if it's going to be cold, it better be pretty too! Plus, I desperately want to go snowshoeing ... and my heart yearns for snow for all the farmers out there, who need it in order to have water for their feilds, crops, and lifestock (can you tell I really am a farmer's daughter?).
I hope it settles down for a little while later, as I also want to get out and take some winter photographs more than I want to keep breathing! Hears to hoping : )
