From Field to Freezer

As tradition will have it, I dedicated one entire day to picking, hulling, mashing, stiring, jarring 6 quarts of strawberries into very delicious freezer jam.

Together with my Gramma and Aunt Deb, we made nearly 70 jars (500mL each) from 14 double batches of jam.

From field to freezer ... one full day of hard work and then 24 hours of sitting before being stored away, all those berries were transformed into declicious, wonderful, truly loved jam.

This year I missed having my mom here to help us too. With her being in Nova Scotia, it wasn't like she could just take the day off work to help out ... it just wasn't the same.
